Trying To Prepare!

Guess it's time to start preparing for next week - week #2 of spring semester 2008!
I'm not completely happy with how the first week turned out, so naturally, I'm hoping for a better week now. Still lots and lots and lots and lots to do, but I really want this to work out, so I hope I can keep up! :)

Apart from quite a few lectures (most days I think it's two of them) I have to study a lot, as all courses I'm taking now are quite demanding! I'm also meeting a friend and her little baby (just over a month old - ADORABLE!!!) on Tuesday and I'm totally looking forward to that of course!

Not much else to write about though, I've spent the entire day studying, trying to catch up on Hebrew as well as writing a paper for the Old Testament course, so yeah, I'm busy! :)

Getting VERY annoyed with eBay though, even though I really know it's not eBay's fault ... but I STILL haven't gotten my Stargate SG-1 box!!! *angry* This time I checked out the seller in detail, so I don't think I've been ripped off again - I hope! - but it's still very strange! I payed on January 7th and on USPS website using the tracking number I got it said it had been shipped from Chicago on January 9th. When nothing happened I though it must have gotten stuck in Swedish customs, but before I emailed them, I thought I'd check USPS one last time ... well now all of a sudden it said my package had left Chicago on January 17th ... eh, HUH?!?!?! I sent an email to them straight away, but haven't heard anything.
I don't really mind if I have to pay to get it from Swedish customs, right now it feels like I don't care about anything just so long as I WILL GET IT!!! I've been shopping from eBay for years, now all of a sudden it's supposed to be completely impossible to recieve an item!?!? *deep deep sigh*
Okay, I know this is not the end of the world, and I'm not getting that upset about it, but I have payed a lot of money!!! First in November (or whenever it was, October maybe), I payed $215 and got ripped off ... and Paypal payed me back $175 - and now I've payed about $250 ... and I'm still not getting anything!
Guess all I can do is wait and see, I suppose ...

Now I'm going to try to wind down and get some sleep so I can get through next week in a decent way!
Good night!

A Messy Start!

Today ended up being quite a mess! I had a number of errands to do, and I had figured out pretty much how I was going to get everything done. Naturally, nothing ended up according to my plan, so it feels like I've been going across town 20 times today - well almost anyway!
I think I finally got everything done, although it probably took a lot longer than it should have! But I have managed to make several bank errands, check out a number of books from the library, buy one book, meet Sara at the Department - I have sooo missed my friends during the holidays!! - fix dinner and finish one of the books for one of the courses I'm taking now ... *phew* As usual I should have done more, but right now I'm completely exhaused, so I'm gonna have to make it an early morning tomorrow instead!

Unfortunately all this running around in stormy freezing weather, with some icy rain/snow falling, has probably caused my cold to come back, because I'm actually feeling feverish tonight! *sigh* I so totally do NOT have time to get sick now!!!!!

Some stuff at Uni has been resolved today, and I'm hoping to get even more questions cleared up tomorrow, when we have the first lecture ... as most things are just left hanging now! I wish they could come up with the schedules for the spring semester (it starts in two weeks), so I could see what that will be like, but no such luck, unfortunately!

I Did It Again!
Yes, I've done it again! I managed to get enough money, so I bought the huge Stargate SG-1 Box Set ... again!!! I sure hope nothing will go wrong this time, but the eBay seller had 737 positive feedbacks, and no negative or neutrals, and she'd been a member since 1999 ... I don't think it can get much better than that ... *fingers crossed* I REALLY want it to work out this time ... but she seemed totally friendly when I emailed her, she's shipping with UPS, so I've gotten the tracking number ... so so far things are looking good!!

I'm soooo tired, and if I'm going to try to get up at 5 a.m. tomorrow, I should try to get some sleep now!
Take care!

Positive Entry??

For once, I'm feeling in a decent mood this morning, so I figured I'd better write an entry here that is positive for a change! *lol* I don't have much to write about - as nothing much has happened since last night! - but I've gathered a bit of fun trivia, links etc and I thought this would be a good entry to post that!

First off, I actually found a German translation of my blog! (done through Google, I think) It feels very strange to read everything in German, but it really looks cool! I did take German for six years in school, but I have more or less forgotten everything I have ever learned - but I still think it's cool to check it out!
Click here to read Ein neuer Tag - ein weiteres Schicksal!

And check this out:
You Are an Alien

You're so strange, people occasionally wonder if you're from another world.
You don't try to be different, but you see most things from a very unique, very offbeat perspective.
Brilliant to the point of genius, you definitely have some advanced intelligence going on.
No matter what circles you travel in, you always feel like a stranger. And it's a feeling you've learned to like.

Your greatest power: Your superhuman brain

Your greatest weakness: Your lack of empathy - you just don't get humans

You play well with: Zombies
What Kind of Monster Are You?

So ... what is you Harry Potter Name?!
Click here - for the male verison!
Click here - for the female version!
My Harry Potter Name is : Lavender Bladvak

My Elf Name is: Nessa Vardamir
And My Hobbit Name is: Ruby Moss of Lake-by-Downs

I've been convinced to join Facebook although I wasn't too keen on the idea! I'm not constantly active there, I tend to be very active for a day or so, then I hardly log in at all ... but if you like you can "check me out"!

Oooh, and finishing off with some positive personal news!
I finally got the money back from Paypal!!! YAY!! YAY!! YAY!! They let me know about a week ago that I had won our "dispute" (since the seller didn't even respond *stupid guy!*), but I wouldn't get all my money back! I had payed US$215 (1410 SEK), and Paypal has a money-back-guarantee of $200, minus a fee of $25, so I did get $175 back, which turned out to be 1100 SEK! Not that bad ... even though I had rather wanted the DVD box of course!
Still, with those money and some selling at Tradera in January when I get back after the holidays, I'm hoping to get the Stargate SG-1 Box Set maybe sometime around my birthday! *fingers crossed*

I hope you enjoyed this a bit more up-beat blog entry this morning!
Also a small reminder to those of you that haven't participated in my labels-vote (in the right column), to please place your vote! It only takes a second and is completely anonymous. You have until the end of the months, and the way things are looking now, I will start 2008 (when I get home) by trying to label all my previous posts! :) :)

Take care, guys!

A Well-Earned Rest!

Yes, I have actually had a well-earned rest - and some pretty useful 'thinking-time' - so even though I haven't been studying much, I still think I have used the time fairly wisely!

I studied like crazy last night, until it was time to get ready and go to Sara!! It was so wonderful to see her again - it was ages since we spent time together! I had head that Johanna maybe could come, and I was happy to find her working hard in the kitchen when I arrived! :)
We had a really lovely time, with delicious food - a real three-course meal! Pure luxury!! Unfortunately, Johanna had to leave after dinner as she had plans for this morning - but Sara and I sat talking until after 11!!
I had such a good time, and after the way things have been lately, I think I really needed that now!! These are people I'm so comfortable together with - for the first time since ... well, for the first time in a very long time!! I can really be myself with them, we laugh at the same jokes, we understand each other, and even though we don't have always agree on everything (duh!), there is a real mutual respect for everyone's individual - and for someone with the problems I've had, that means sooooo much!!
The bus home was rather late, so I wasn't home until about 1 a.m. - so it was a very slack morning today! I think yesterday evening set off a whole lot of thoughts as well, so even though I'm behind in my studies, I have felt obligated to take a lot of time to sort through all my thougths and emotion today!
And I think it did me some good! I was rather panicked today, about what the future will hold - but after having thought and written a lot about it today, I feel better equipped to be able to deal with it!! So maybe today wasn't a waste anyway ...

What has put a damper on my mood a bit today was that I had to go in a start a case process on Paypal agaist the stupid idiot eBay seller, that refused to give me my Stargate DVD box! The process has just begun and I don't know what will happen - but from what I could tell, I might be able to get at least some money back! I'm not sure, because the Paypal Rules & Regulations are complicated to say the least - but at least according to what I read in one place, there might be a possible refund! But I will still loose US$50 (about 320SEK) ... so I can't say that I'm totally happy! And that will only happen if Paypal should judge in my favor (and there are possible even more conditions to fulfill for me to get any money, so I can't be sure that I'll get any ....).
*sigh*

Ah well - I guess I'd better get back to start preparing me for tomorrow and the coming week!
I should have added some photos from last night, but naturally my camera decided to die on me! Sara took a few picturs, so I've asked her to email them, and I'll add them when I get them!

Veeery Tired!

I can't seem to get any energy whatsoever these days unfortunately ... I should need all the energy I can get, but instead it's quite the oposite!!
I know it's a 'dark season' (although I actually happen to like it!!) and I know I have so much to do, but I'm still annoyed and frustrated at being so tired all the time!

Still having some 'issues' at Uni ... I'm kind of, sort of, maybe hoping to resolve one of them in a few days, but I'm not sure if that will work out at all! The other one is completely out of my hands, so I guess I'm stuck with that one ... *sigh*

Also, nothing happening with my eBay thingy! Have sent another email to the seller, but even though I seriously doubt he will reply, I must at least give him the chance to do so, before pressing the Alarm Button! I have decided to give him until Friday, so on Saturday (if no miracle happens and he actually does reply!!) I guess I'll have to take the time to figure out what to do next.

Otherwise, nothing exciting to report here! Most of my thoughts and actions these days revolve around Uni and studies, so there's not much else to write about now ...

Take care!

Stupid eBay!!

Well, I guess it's not eBay that's stupid, but rather a seller I've encountered!
I bought the entire Stargate SG-1 boxset (seasons 1-10) a while back, but it hasn't arrived yet! I decided to send an email to the seller (I've sent one before but not gotten a reply), since it's been a month since I bought it! That in itself didn't pose any problems, but when I started checking around, I got more and more worried ...
Turns out the seller is no longer a registered seller at eBay, for some strange reason is the auction itself "removed" (I mean, I know I've bought the item, and it hasn't been 60 days yet, but it's not on eBay anywhere!), and the last feedback this seller got was from a buyer who bought the same boxset as me - and reported he'd not gotten the set, nor gotten any reply to either emails or phonecalls!
Terrific! NOOOOOT!!!!!
I payed over $200 for it, which is an awful lot of money and I don't have the time or the energy for this right now! I checked out paypal, and aparently they have some 'resolution center' where you're supposed to comunicate with the seller and reach a conclusion, and if that doesn't work, paypal will step in and act as "judge and jury" ... guess that's where this whole mess will end up eventually ... not to mention the fact that it's Christmas fairly soon, when I don't have any access to the internet or my email accounts - wonderful to be in this situation if I can't even check out what's happening!!
On top of that I had to leave my first negative feedback on Tradera - someone who bought two auctions from me and never payed, thanks a lot! - and I feel very strongly about leaving negative feedback at all ...

I think I have enough on my plate at the moment without having to deal with these things as well.
Unfortunately this whole mess with eBay completely destroyed my day!! I should have been 100% focused on my studies, yeah right!!! Not a chance of that, that's for sure!! I've really tried to sit down and study but there's not a hope in hell of getting anything done whatsoever!!

I'm glad that I was greatful for my 'good moods', because they certainly haven't shown themselves today, that's for sure ... I feel really down and low and angry and upset and sad and frustrated right now, and when I'm like this, I don't get anything done ... and since I'm not getting anything done, I realize I will be in even more trouble at Uni, which makes me even more down and low and angry and upset and sad and frustrated!

LIFE SUCKS!!!!!!!!!!

(Sorry, I really shouldn't be blogging when I'm in this mood)

Where To Begin ....?

Yes, I am not really sure what to make of my blog entry today actually.
I really felt better last night, it felt good to get things out here in the blog, I managed to get around doing a few minor things I've been putting off ...

And when I woke up this morning, I did feel better!! Things have been tough lately, and I have been suffering from a constant headache for several days, but I did feel better this morning, I didn't feel much of the headache and I felt a motivation to get things done and a confidence about the future, that I would be able to get things to work out.
Until I got out of bed and started walking toward the bathroom (meaning my "good" feelings got to last about 2 minutes or so) ... when the headache really struck me!

I know I have been bad at getting things done lately, and maybe that can be put down to simple laziness or whatever, but I do know that I can not function when I am in constant pain! No matter what, I can not get things done or be efficient, it's just not possible. But even though I know this I can't stop feeling sad and upset about this happening, especially now when things are tough enough as they are! I know I'm trying every possible cure for headaches I can think of and nothing works, but I still know that I "waste" valuable time when I should have been cleaning or doing laundry or - most of all - studied!!

I still had to go to Lund today, to meet with my mentor (I was going to return a book at the library as well, but discovered that I could renew my loan on the internet - very nice and smooth!). It was great seeing her, we went to a really nice museum with some very cool exhibitions, but my headache was undoubtedly making it's prescence known ...

I think I have been feeling a little bit better tonight, there are actually small periods of time (like a minute here, two minutes there) when I don't feel any pain ... and it's been quite a while since I took any pain medication now, so I'm really, really, really hoping that this will get better now!! I have wasted so many days, I don't really know what to do if I never get well from this. I can't spend the rest of my life with persistent headaches, can I?! *sigh*

Oh yeah, one small thing before I sign off.
I haven't spent that much time on eBay lately - except for looking for Stargate SG-1 dvds *lol* - but I have no discovered they have this really cool "My World" page there for each member! Feel free to check out mine: http://myworld.ebay.com/jessiezorro I have a guestbook and everything! *lol*
You can also blog on this page ... and as I am a true blog-o-holic I couldn't pass up the chance of getting yet another blog! :) :) However ... this blog will be completely eBay focused! I will not update it very often, only if I have something eBay related to write about - if I have bought something, if I want to buy something, if I'm selling stuff etc.
Here's the URL for that blog: http://blogs.ebay.com/jessiezorro

Take care guys!

Countdown: 16 hours 9 minutes

Dynamite
Another countdown on the way now! This time to the group presentation which takes place tomorrow!! I haven't really had either time nor energy to worry much about it - until today! And now I'm in a state of total panic!!!
I met with the others in the group today, we decided how we should do the presentation tomorrow and stuff like that ... and right now I feel like bailing completely and get on the first flight out of the country!!
Big Ben Okay, maybe it's not quite as bad as that - even though I wouldn't mind a trip to London *lol* - but I certainly feel awful about all this, that's for sure!! I feel rather insecure about the stuff we're supposed to do the presentation on, it feels rather vague to me, and I'm also completely terrified about the "questions-discussion"-whatnot that will aparently follow after the presentation ... *gulp* I know I simply have to make it through tomorrow - and it probably won't kill me - but I really really feel very very bad about this ...
I've been most upset ever since I got home, and I haven't even started studying, so it's gonna be a long night tonight, becuase I do have quite a lot to do! First of all, I have to really go over my parts of the presentation, see how and what I should say, and try to "rehearse" a bit, and then I have to go through all the other reports too ... although I'm thinking of maybe not putting too much effort on that! I'm hopeless when it comes to discussions, I do have a hard time speaking up and being active, and I know that one of the teachers is fully aware of this, I don't think he expects too much of me, so I'm hoping that I can just look through the other reports so I know what they're about, and instead focus on our presentation! Oh, God I don't want to do this!!!!!!!!
Nervous
Okay, I'll try to give you some happy news too ...
A while ago I saw this totally cool cd set on eBay, it was a radio recording of Les Misérables in Hebrew!!! Totally cool!!! (It doesn't hurt that I'll be studying the Old Testament and Old Testament-Hebrew all of next semester!!)
Anyway, I bought the set, it was quite cheap, so including shipping from USA I payed a little under $10. I payed directly, but about a day later I got an email from eBay saying something about the auction/sale beeing cancelled. I also got an email from the seller, telling me basically the same thing - but since I'd payed already, he would send me the CD.
This felt a bit worrying, and I was pretty sure I'd been fooled, but I figured that I could live with loosing $10 ... I emailed the seller, just out of curiosity, to see how he responded. I got this super-nice reply, where he told me a little about what had happened ... but I still wasn't convinced he was genuine! Until I came home today and found a note from the Post Office that I had a package to collect, and the sender was the seller on ebay! *yay* I hope I have time to get it tomorrow, otherwise it will be on Friday! I'm really happy about this, and in the mail I found out that I was the last person to get the CD set - so I'm guessing it's rather rare! :)

See, I can see positive things as well ... !
Even though I hardly feel positive at the moment, this whole thing tomorrow feels really haunting, and there are some other Uni-related problems, of variuos severity, that I have to try to deal with too.
I guess I'd better start studying now, instead of just sounding ocmpletely depressed in my blog!
Take care guys!
