Parting the Red Sea!

I couldn't help the title - and it always makes me think of a quote from Stargate SG-1, the season 8 episode "Reckoning (part 2)" (I think ...?), where Sam (Amanda Tapping) says:
"You know, you blow up one sun and everyone expects you to walk on water ... next up, parting the Red Sea!"

*LOL*

Anyway, since I feel like I'm more or less living in Exodus right now, I felt the connection made sense ... sort of! :)

I went to Uni fairly early today, I was there about 8.20 and got about 1½ hours work on my master's thesis done - reading an article on how to connect the Hittite suzerainty treaties between the Hittite king and his vassals to the Biblical mosaic covenant. Quite interesting!

At 10 there was an OT lecture, this time focusing on ... parting the Red Sea! *lol* (which, of course, never was the Red Sea, but I guess it's easier to refer to it that way because most people know what it is). Another very interesting lecture, and I'm even more looking forward to the rest of the lectures this week, as those texts will focus more on the covenant at Sinai and the ten commandments - and I'm doing my master's thesis on the covenant! :)

After lectures, Elisabet and I had lunch and planned the mentor meeting on Friday. It's a lot more difficult to find things to do on this part of the course, but I think we came up with a good plan, so hopefully the students will get something out of it as well.

Then I went to the library to get some more work done, but I quickly realized I need to work on my computer now, and of course I hadn't taken Sammy with me (as I'm dragging lots of other stuff these days - including two Bibles!) ... I guess I'm going to have to take him as well in the future. I do need to find a "bag" or something, to carry him in though. I have one, which is really good, but it's quite huge and it's quite difficult to get the computer in and out of the bag - and if I have to take it with me every day I feel I should look for something a bit smaller and easier to handle ... Guess I'll have to keep an eye open for that ...
I ended up going home early and I have gotten some work done tonight, although you always feel like you could do more!

I'll finish on the same theme I started with, Stargate SG-1 - some old graphics! And I guess you can tell my favourite character/actress is Sam Carter/Amanda Tapping?! *lol*
Enjoy!

Roller Coaster

This week has truly felt like a roller coaster, going up and down the whole time - so I guess it's not so strange I'm feeling completely exhausted right now.

Monday was a pretty good day - I went to Uni early and went to visit the book store when they opened, with my job application. I talked to the boss, who was really nice and friendly. However, they will not require any new personnel until early summer or so, at the moment there are a lot of renovations going on and they are moving temporarily out to barracks ... Still, I would really really LOVE to work there ... At least I've handed in my application now, I also have to hand in my references when I get them together (that's been a bit complicated ...), and then I guess I'll just have to keep my fingers crossed!

Back at Uni I ended up talking to my mentor supervisor, I had only a few questions but it turned into quite a discussion, which in the end was a really good thing.
I met Elisabet and we prepared for the mentor meeting which took place at 11.30. While there aren't a great number of students, I think the meetings work out fairly well now. We got some good discussions going and I learned a lot from the meeting too.
After the meeting it was time for the last lecture on the first course ... Time sure has flown by quickly, half the semester has gone - amazing! It was an interesting lecture with lots of questions, but I was quite tired and went home almost as soon as the lecture was over.

Tuesday was a really horrible day - for various reasons! It's not something I want to go into, but I felt really awful all day ...

Yesterday I was able to take it easy during the morning, and went into Uni around 10. I met some friends there and at 12, me and Elisabet had lunch with the teacher teaching the second half of the OT-course. We had a great lunch with interesting conversation, it was exciting to be able to discuss the course, the best way to schedule lectures etc. After all, it's what I want to do on my own some day! :) I talked to Elisabet a while afterwards, before heading home.
I got a text message saying my new computer had arrived and in the afternoon I went to pick it up. Unfortunately when I got to the bus stop this kind of creepy guy came up and kept talking to me ... Apparently he'd lived in my neighbourhood before and "recognized me" ... eh? It just gave me a really creepy feeling so it felt good when I got home.

I started unpacking the new computer and it does take a while to get it started and up to speed on everything, but so far, I'm VERY happy with it. I'm usually not a person who tend to "name things" but my new computer has been given the name Sammy (it's a Samsung) ...:) I also realized that my new little camera is a Samsung, so I guess it will be Sammy Jr.! LOL!

I stayed home today as I had some issues to sort out with my landlord ... it ended up being a bit more complicated than I had thought, but I think it worked out in the end. I have also spent some time with Sammy, installing programmes and configuring him to my liking! :)
I am however, completely exhausted tonight, I guess it's because this week has been filled with ups and downs ... I'm hoping for an effective day tomorrow, though I can't give any guarantees - I tend to sleep really really poorly now, and that always makes it tough to be really efficient ...

A New Friend

Yes, here's the newest addition to the household, I'm very much hoping we'll be friends. :)
Since my laptop has decided to quit on me - or rather, the keys are dead, but a computer is not very useful if you can't type anything, right? - I have ordered a new one. I tend to get nervous over larger purchases and constantly ask myself whether I've made a good decision or not, so until I actually get it, I will probably be a bit nervous and anxious.
From what I can tell, I think it's a pretty good computer. I can only afford so much, especially since this was not planned, so I hope I got a good deal on it ...
Delivery is estimated at 1-3 days (!) so I'm hoping I'll get it during the week, and hopefully it will work out and I can have it in order by the weekend! *fingers crossed*

Bit of Bad News ...

Can't say this weekend has been really great, unfortunately ...
Basically a bad incident on Friday spoiled most of it - and even though I know I shouldn't let things affect me too much, but sometimes I do find it difficult.

I was working on my laptop, sipping a drink (yup, I know, no eating or drinking near a computer ... *sigh*). The construction work was going on but since I've had my own lock installed again, I felt quite relaxed despite a lot of drilling and hammering ... until they dropped something HUGE outside my apartment! Don't ask me what it was but it sounded gigantic. I leaped in the air of course, knocking over my drink ... which poured all over my laptop! NOT GOOD!

I've been doing what I can to try to get it to dry, but so far no luck! The computer works, in itself - but none of the keys work ... making it impossible to work with it or even log in. I have been told to be patient, so I guess I should give it a few more days before giving up - but it's more than frustrated.
I did managed to bring life back into my old computer - and get it hooked up to the internet ... which took most of Saturday (*sigh*) - but it's slower than slow and nothing I can cope with other than as an emergency solution for a short time.

I guess I'll make up my mind about my laptop toward the middle of the week - but I'm already trying to check out the market for a new one, as I might simply have to buy a new computer. Not exactly something I was counting on, but not much to do about either - I need a working computer ...

Other than that, not much has been going on this weekend. I managed to get a whole lot of laundry done this afternoon, which felt quite good as I was running out of clothes to wear! :)

Next week will be pretty heavy for me, at least the first half of it, and I'm a bit nervous about it since the weekend hasn't provided a lot of calm reflection - so to speak. I guess I'll just have to work at it and hope for the best.

Tomorrow I will actually attend both New Testament and Old Testament lectures! :)
Tomorrow morning three lecturers applying for a job at the Department will each give a "trial-lecture", and I know one of them - he taught New Testament Greek when I took it in 2008 - and last spring I kind of sat in on his lectures on that course again, to freshen up my Greek skills! :) I went to similar lectures in Sociology of Religion in January and it's quite interesting!
Then there's the usual OT/Hebrew lesson in the afternoon, and I really enjoy those lectures as they are now covering stuff I'm not 100% sure of myself, so I'm learning a lot by attending them.

I have a big challenge to face on Tuesday, but I will try not to get to far ahead of myself - but I'm hoping for some time to deal with that tomorrow afternoon, I have a feeling I'm going to need a lot of thinking in order for that to work out well.

Weekend!

I've had a pretty good weekend, which feels good considering I have a pretty tough day tomorrow.

I've gotten quite a bit done, cleaned up a fair bit yesterday and today I've spent a lot of time on my computer.
Some of you may remember that my computer broke down last fall, it was a huge great big mess, which ended up with me having to send my computer across half the country for a repair. It turned out they had to replace the entire hard drive, and too late I discovered that they'd given me a much smaller hard drive than I had to begin with! *very annoying*
I've been having a problem since I do a bit of photography and my hard drive ended up being full all the time. I finally managed to get a - cheap! *lol* - external hard drive, and I connected it today! It seems to work like a charm, so now I have basically everything on the external hard drive, and I access it from there (the external hard drive has 1TB of memory so I'm guessing I won't run out in a hurry *lol*!)!!

I've also been sorting through all my documents (already have all my photos completely organized! *yay*) and also downloaded quite a few digital scrapbook kits for future projects ...

Now I mostly have to prepare for tomorrow ... *gulp* I'm meeting with someone at Uni which will basically determine whether or not I can take the course I REALLY want to take, or if I have to take the course I really DON'T want to take! *nervous*
It feels really good to know that my professor feels exactly like me, it gives me a bit more security, but I'm still very nervous.
Also, no matter the outcome of the meeting, I will have a lot of practical matters to sort out, both with the student counsellor and with a number of professors, depending on what will be decided. I also need to get truly started with my master's thesis tomorrow, but I think that will be a bit easier when I actually KNOW what will happen with this mess (that has been going on since the end of February!!!)!!

Not So Good!

Yesterday was not really a great day!
I am generally adapting a "better" and much more positive attitude now than I did last year, but I didn't expect everything to magically work out just because we entered 2010!! Naturally there are days that are worse than others, but you have to try to deal with them as well ... which is what I'm trying to do now!

I skipped the Greek lecture yesterday morning and did some of my "own" studies, and it felt pretty okay, it was mostly preparations for the meeting with my professor. At 10 we had an Old Testament lecture, and they are getting started on the real basic grammar now, so I enjoy these lectures a bit more than the strictly introductory lectures!
Afterwards I had coffee with Maria, I get along great with her which is nice as we will be spending a lot of time together this semester. She's taking the OT/Hebrew course where I am mentor, and I'm voluntarily attending the NT/Greek course where she's mentor! :)

I did get about 1½ hours of studying done after our coffee break, I went over my notes for the afternoon meeting and studied some Greek, and at 2 I met with my professor. I can't say the meeting went well, although I guess it wasn't a complete disaster either. I'm happy I get along so well with him, because otherwise I think I would have been even more depressed. We basically discussed both my master's thesis and my 1st level ... the smaller one needs some major reworking, which I hadn't quite anticipated, and while I'm very happy about getting a pretty clear direction in which to go regarding the master's thesis, I still have a lot of mixed feelings! Life is very confusing!

I felt pretty ... well ... confused after the meeting, but Maria and I went for another coffee (I think I drank more coffee than I ate food yesterday, that's probably not all that good, right?), and it was nice to be able to talk a bit ....

The afternoon did not turn out as planned though!
I was supposed to make a detailed schedule for the rest of this week, I feel like I need to plan every minute of every day now - including showers and bathroom breaks, well almost anyway! - but that did not happen!
First of all, the stupid window people have still not fixed my balcony and I'm getting seriously annoyed with them now ... it feels like it's never gonna get finished.
And later on my computer almost died - AGAIN!!! I don't think it's 100% still, but at least I can use it now! *gulp* I had it on stand-by, but had the lid open (sloppy, I know!). Zorro was going to jump up to the table, but his distance judgement isn't the best now (I think he has some problems with his vision in general too, the hassles of getting old, right?) ... I don't know what happened as I was in the other room, but apparently he must have somehow landed in a bad way on top of the keyboard ... which meant that last night, the keyboard was dead!! Not a single key worked. Not good!!!
This morning I started the computer ... it started beeping ... beeping quite a lot - and then it had some problems starting Vista (why would that be affected by my cat jumping (well, sort of!) on the keyboard?????! I do not understand computers!!!), but I got it started - and now the keyboard works ... pretty much except one key ....
But I am getting tired of this computer not working now ... especially since I didn't get much, or that great, help last time it broke! :(

At least I'm up in time today - though I have a throbbing headache I've been trying to cure since 3.45 a.m. ... don't quite know how to get through this day but it'll have to work, somehow ...

Plans for today, before I start getting ready:
Greek lecture at 8 ... it's kind of fun because when I looked at the sentences we're doing now, I pretty much remember almost all of it - not quite, but pretty much ... that felt pretty comforting.
After that I have another lecture, in my "real" course, Religion, Tradition and Communication (it's such a long title, I'm gonna start using RTC for it, I think!), and I'm a bit nervous about that too. It's a mandatory course on the master's programme, but I'm really not that interested or motivated by it, and that feels a bit scary ...
I have "lunch" for an hour - will probably study - and then there's a registration thing for those of us writing some form of thesis and/or taking a so called reading-course ... they've done one single event for basically all students who will be doing this, so I'm expecting a great big mess - also, one of our student counsellors have recently quit ....
After that I probably will have to stay for at least a couple of hours to get some 'real' studying done as well ....
So, another long day!

But now I have to get ready, or I'll miss my train!

Tough Week

Last week was pretty intense, for a lot of reasons. Because of that, I was completely exhausted yesterday and pretty much wandered around the apartment like a zombie!! I'm still really tired today, but I need to get things done today, so I'm hoping I can pull myself together!

I think I might have made some progress on the laptop-issue! I have gotten it confirmed that the restoration cds have been sent to me, which at least is something, I suppose. Unfortunately they are being sent from France (!), but the guy I talked to at the Support Department told me they should be arriving around the middle of next week. I know there are no guarantees the cds will work, but at least there's some hope now, right?! *fingers crossed* I know I'm gonna be soooo happy if I can get the thing to work again, I REALLY miss it!!

On Friday I had a meeting with my professor regarding mostly my master's thesis ... the meeting went okay, some things good, others not-so-good. Luckily I really like the professor, he's great to deal with and that does help. Still, the whole master thesis-thing is a mess, since I'm the only one writing it in my subject, and I'm attending the post-graduate seminars, where I will ultimately present it as well ... I can't really go into detail regarding what came out of it, because it's a great big mess - but I will have TONS to do in order to make everything work. I'm pretty much hoping to complete my Master's Education the beginning of May, but it won't be easy until I get there, that's for sure!!

I have been doing a bit of walking and photographing lately, but since the computer situation isn't solved yet, I'm afraid I won't be able to share them with you. Guess I'll make a number of photo-entries here when (if?! *gulp) I get the laptop fixed and I can work with photos the way I want to. I guess it would be possible to fix it on this computer as well, but since it's SOOO slow and freezes up every 10 minutes or so, I don't want do too much on this computer and risk it breaking down as well ... that would be soo-not-good!!

I hope you are all enjoying your weekend, I will at least try to get something done now! :-)

FINALLY ... I Hope!

Hey everybody!!

Things have not been going so great here lately, and I haven't felt like blogging at all. I'm still not feeling great, although so far this week seems to have been a bit better than previous weeks.

I don't have the time or the energy to go into detail on everything that's happened, but there are a lot of things going on now, I have a lot of things on my mind, which makes it hard for me to concentrate on what I should concentrate on: my studies!

My laptop is still not fixed!!! *hate that* Everything that could possibly go wrong has gone wrong, and that's something I keep thinking of a lot. Especially since I'm writing my first level thesis now and have to start my master's thesis SOON, and ... well, a computer does come in handy, right?! This old one does work, but it's superslow, some things aren't working on it and it's just generally very annoying. I had an email from the Computer Support tonight, so I'm gonna have to call them tomorrow, and see what happens next.

There are also a lot of other things on my mind, and constant thinking on those things - as well as lack of sleep - has caused to fall behind quite a bit on my studies ... which in turn casuses me to stress even more! A really vicious circle ...

Still, my mood has generally been better these last few days than earlier, and I'm hoping that can help me to try and turn things around a bit now. I won't make any promises regarding this blog, as there are no guarantees - but at least I HOPE I'll be able to update it a bit more often!

I AM Alive - I Promise!

Oh my ... I'm terribly sorry about the lack of updates here!!
*feeling terrible*

I have had my mother here for a visit, my laptop is still broken and things haven't exactly been working on routine lately! Hopefully I can get some routine back in my life now though, also with blog updates! :-)

I had a wonderful time with my Mum here!! We celebrated her birthday (one month too late!) with a great dinner when she arrived, and we also made some outings, I had some stuff to get done at Uni, so my Mum entertained herself a bit also. We also rented the smallest CUTEST little adorable car you can imagine!!!! That gave us the opportunity to get about, and she insisted on paying for tons of food, I'm stocked up until Christmas, almost, now! :-) I have pictures of the car - *loving it* - but since the laptop is still uncooperative, the photos will have to wait!

I have had some news from my Dad as well, it seems my little sisters are doing great. The youngest one has had some food allergies since she was an infant, milk and dairy projects mostly, and also eggs - but it seems the milk and milk protein allergy seems to be gradually going away! They have been coping very well with it, but needless to say, things are easier if you don't have to worry about it all the time!
Also, my oldest sister seems to be reading quite well! I think it's amazing, she's "only" 5 years old!! Still, it will certainly give her an advantage when it comes to school and such!!

My studies are going semi-well ... :-) I know pretty much what I'm going to do right now, which is really great, although I kind of wish I didn't have quite so much left to do on my first essay - since I have another MAAAJOR essay left! *nervous*
I'm hoping to get back to my routine now though, not least because I have a seminar on Friday where I'll present the basics of my smaller essay ...

I hope you are all doing well!

Trying To Get A Grip ...

Been a few tough days now ... sort of anyway!
I spent most of yesterday at Uni, which was okay in itself, even though there were lots of things I should have gotten done there, that didn't happen. I always get very frustrated when I plan to do something and it for some reason doesn't work out.

The big thing yesterday was the seminar ... I might be overreacting but for me it's a big thing. It's basically the post-graduate seminar for the Old Testament, New Testament and Patristic that meet once a week. I will eventually present my master's thesis there (as there are no other students writing their master's thesis now), so therefore it was suggested I attend. Yesterday was probably the first "real" seminar I went to (I have gone once before, but it was a bit ... special ...), a guy was presenting his initial thoughts on a dissertation about ethics, characterization and imitation in the Gospel of Luke, and there was a discussion around that.
I have no idea what's expected of me here, but right now I don't feel comfortable taking part in discussions at all!!! It all seems to be waaay over my level! Luckily I have a friend who's joined me these two times, it's a bit easier when we are two students there, although I suspect she won't go every time.
Anyway - the seminar in itself was quite interesting! Some parts I didn't quite grasp, but others gave me a lot, also lots of general thoughts and ideas that I'm probably going to be able to use in my own studies and writings!

This morning I discovered my laptop had given up!!!! I really really love it and I've only had it for about 9 months, so it feels pretty horrible that it's not working. For some reason it refuses to start Windows, and there's a problem with the User Profiles or something. I'm completely clueless when it comes to computer, but I think I should have the telephone number to the computer support - I only have to try and find a time to actually call them, and see if they can help! I really hope so - I have managed to get internet going on my stationary computer, but it's sooooo slow and I really can't cope with only this computer!! I definitely need the laptop to get started on my writing!!

Tomorrow I'm meeting my professor, regarding the first level thesis I'm supposed to be writing. I'm really looking forward to the meeting, because I'm completely stuck. I keep having sooo many thoughts in my head, and not a single one of them seems to be something I can work with. I usually get really motivated after having met my professor, and he's really good at getting me to see things from different angles and not get stuck in just one thought pattern - and I'm guessing that's exactly what I'll need to get going again!

Finally Photos!

Okay, so I'm still in an argument with the World Wide Web over the fact that it seems impossible to get a FREE webdomain that can actually host Simpleviewer! :(
However, I've realized I can't sulk over this forever, and I still have a couple of domain tied into my internet provider (didn't want to use them since I plan to change provider - maybe - soon), so I decided to use that, at least for now!
I'm guessing I have to make some changes later on, but I'll worry about that than!

So here are a few links to recent photos! :)
I have also decided to make a webpage with links to these photos, just because it's simpler to put everything in one place - so if you want to bookmark that as well, I'll give you the link (nothing fancy, it's just a page with links on it, but hey, it might make things a bit simpler!).

17,000 - And Time For An Update!

I'm really sorry my updates here have been taking SO long ... still, I think I'm back now, so better late than never, right?! :)

First of all, celebrating 17,000 visitors - yay!! :) A big thank you to all who come here to visit! :)
Who knows, maybe we can reach 20,000 by the 3rd year anniversary on September 20?

Anyway, the time since I got back from the summerhouse has been very intense indeed, and I have had my hands full just trying to cope with everything - so the blog has been neglected! But I thought it was time for a summary of what's been going on, and hopefully I can start blogging regularly after that! :)
Also, I know I still have the 'My Fair Lady' review to add, and trust me, it will come! :)

When I got home from the summerhouse, I had to totally focus on my reading-course, the exam was on Tuesday (April 28), and I hadn't been able to study at all the way I had hoped while I was away.
Things was a bit complicated though, as I had been invited to a seminar with well-known Swedish author Jonas Gardell - who became an Honorary Doctor at our Department last year. He's published a theological book recently ("Om Gud" - "About Jesus") and the students who had studied Old and New Testament Exegesis during the last year was invited to a closed seminar with Mr Gardell, and this was Monday afternoon (April 27)!
I was quite nervous as I have never been to such a thing before, and I had no idea what would be expected of me. So this mixed in with my own studies on the theology of the covenant made things a bit complicated.

Monday came, and the seminar turned out quite nicely! :) Some things I felt were a little awkward, but mostly, I enjoyed it quite a lot, it was very exciting and I got to do a fair bit of thinking based on everybody's comments!
I will try to do an update on the seminar in my Swedish Theology Blog later on.

I wasn't home until about 5.30 p.m. and I had a hard time focusing on my own studies, but Tuesday afternoon did arrive, and it was time for my oral exam! I was practically in a state of panic, I felt a lot less prepared than for my last exam, and even though the professor is really down to Earth and kind, I felt awful!
Turns out I was really lucky, at least I think so. First out was reading and translating, and while I always find that terribly stressing, I felt I did better this time. Granted, it was a much easier text, but I'm still glad it was okay! The discussion afterwards felt a little less great ... while I did have things to say, I felt I needed a lot of help and pushes to get in the right direction.
That said, I was very very surprised to see that the professor wrote VG (the high grade!) on my certificate!!! Amazing!!
When I first got there, I didn't even think I'd pass, but after having felt my way though it, I was fairly certain I had passed - but not VG! :) Yay!!

Wednesday was a not-so-great day ... pretty much everything I did turned out bad and wrong and ... wrong! Lucky for me, I could look back on Tuesday (and Monday), so that didn't get me down completely - and since then I've been able to relax a bit, catch up on practical matters etc. and now it's high time to get started on my essays!
I know the next part of the semester will probably be the most intense I have ever experienced, EVER, but I'm still feeling motivated and I want to do this - and that's the main thing, right?! :)

At the moment, I'm a bit frustrated though! I've spent the entire morning, trying to work a few things out online, and it will NOT work ... one thing's on Facebook and there's nothing I can do about that, but the other thing REALLY bugs me!!

I really enjoy the program Simpleviewer, a programe to show pictures and images, and I have done a bit of photographing the last few days, so I wanted to use that programme to show my photos! I've been at it like CRAZY, and now I've gotten the programe to work - yay - but I can't find a place to upload it!!
I'm not into websites anymore, all my accounts have been deleted, so I decided to create a new one ... yeah right! *rolling eyes* Passagen.se (a swedish site) worked out, until I started the FTP-upload programe - which cannot connect to the server.
Tried Fortunecity, it worked out really really well, everything seemed to work ... but ONE file in the Simpleviewer programe won't upload to Fortunecity because it's "not allowed" - HUH?!?!?!
I'm getting totally frustrated at this, the photos are beautiful, but I wanted a simpler way to share them than having to : transfer them to the computer, save all of them in a smaller format AND as thumbnails, upload them to my photobucket account and write all the codes by hand here ...
I know I can upload them directly onto Blogger, but I don't have much space left on my account, and I have several blogs, so I'd rather not upload too many pictures that are something like 4-5 MB each in size ...

Sorry about the ramblings, I'm just really mad about this now ... I had hoped to solve it easily since I'm busy with other stuff ... no such luck, I guess.
Anybody have ANY ideas about this - I'd be more than grateful to listen ...

Take care!

A Strange Day ... And A Tech Question!

Well, let's start with the boring part - the "tech question" ...
While I know my way around a TV/video/dvd and a computer, I don't know much about "techonology" in general ... and I have sort of a problem.
I have a few old casette tapes, you know, the old kind that you were using when the people my age were about 10 years old (*lol*), and they are starting to get worn out. I'd really LOVE to be able to preserve them, they have some sentimental value to me ... so I would LOVE to get them on a CD. Which kind of ties me into my next tech-question! *lol* Part one is, of course, how do you get a casette into a CD?! *lol*
I kind of had a home-made answer to that, in that I though I could use a microphone plugged into my computer, and more or less record the sound from the casette player onto my computer, and then burn it onto a CD ... well, newsflash, that didn't work. Because aparently I am incapable of plugging in a microphone to my computer!!! Which feels a bit strange ... I have tried plugging a "regular" microphone into pretty much everything that will work, no luck! Anybody have any suggestions?!?!? I feel like an idiot, but I would like to make this work!
So, to summarize - this tech question is parted in two:
Part One: how do you, in the simplest way, get a casette tape onto a CD?
Part Two: how do you make a microphone work on your computer?

Okay, moving on ...
This day has sooo not turned out the way I planned it! I had hoped to get a milion things done, getting up early, running errands and study like a maniac ... yeah right!! *eyes rolling!*
Zorro woke up at 3.15 and made sure I wasn't getting any sleep either! He kept cuddling, running, clawing, cuddling, running, screaming, cuddling, clawing, screaming and cuddling non-stop, which made it impossible for me to relax ... he finally calmed down at about 5.45, and I fell asleep - and didn't wake up until 9 o'clock!!!!!! *gasp* Sooooo not according to plan!!!
I didn't get my errands done - except shopping - and I didn't get much studying done at all!! *deep sigh*

I did take an evening walk yesterday, but I didn't get the pictures transferred until tonight! But here they are! :) Enjoy!

Still ...
I had intended to get a bit of "free time" tomorrow, seeing as how it's Friday ... but since I didn't get much done at all today, I guess today will constitute my "day off" - and I will spend tomorrow studying! :)
I have done a little bit of studying - and I have FINALLY gotten started on my super-secret project, so at least this day doesn't feel completely wasted! Always something, right?!
But since I have to get up at 4 a.m., I really should start thinking about getting some sleep now.

Also - I have sooooo much to do and feeling generally stressed out, but I've still decided to start a new blog! *sigh* I'm hopeless!!! It's in Swedish, and I'd love to get some readers *lol*, so check it out here:

Take care!
