Good News - Bad News

A little of each today, I think ...

Starting with the bad news though (always nice to finish off with the positives, right?!)!
Well, the major bad news today is that I cannot finish my essay now, as I had intended ... I was meant to do an essay during the last five weeks of this semester, but today I found out for sure that I won't be able to make it. It feels a bit upsetting of course, as it's always nice to finish what you have started. There's no panic though, since I can work around it, and finish the essay during the spring semester ....
I thought I'd go to work today, to get my mind of certain things, and since I have a car, it's so much easier to get there. I got up really early, but when I arrived, they were closed today! *sigh* That felt kinda gloomy, since had my mind set on it, but there wasn't much I could do. I went to a couple of shopping malls instead, and managed to get some nice presents to my two sisters, so the day wasn't a complete waste at least ...

Moving on to what I think of as the good news then.
I had an email from one of the teachers at Uni regarding a report I sent in last week. Aparently the report looked okay, so if all goes well, in a few days I will have a reported passing grade on that entire course! Yay!
The second good news is that my baby sister and her mother are now finally at home, after some rather tough days! Everything is not completely solved now, but at least it seems things will sort themselves out! I can't wait to visist them next weekend!!

First of all I'm really happy to hear your little sister is well enough to be at home now! That must feel great for everyone! :) I hope things will continue to go well...

About your essay (not sure if I'll make things worse or better here..sorry! Points effort hopefully? *lol*)...when we did our second essay I'd say about 80% of everyone who was doing did NOT finish it on time, but had to continue during the next semester. Me and my friend DID finish it on time, but I still wish we hadn't. I got convinced by her to really try to do it on time, so the result was that we worked hard enough to make us both ill, and still didn't do a good job on it. I really wish we had taken some more time on it instead, I think it's better do it well than to just get it done. Well, point being - not the end of the world to finish it next semester, might even be a good thing, even if I understand that it feels a bit sad not to get it done "on time"...*hugs*

Yeah, I'm really happy things seems to be working out for them now! Hope they can STAY home now, and only go on the regular check-ups!

I totally know what you mean about the essay! I mean, I do feel bad about not finishing when I "should have" and all that, I don't think I could have made a very good job of it now anyway!
Also, I'm considering applying for a research education programme after I get my diploma, and there all my essays will be going through close scrutiny ... so who knows, it might be better to give it some extra time, and make a better job of it in the end.
Anyway, it's decided now, so all I can hope for is that I'll be able to handle the essay AND full-time studies during spring semester!

Thanks for all the support! *hugs*
